Welcome to our winter newsletter. After a very busy November and Christmas time we are now looking forward to an equally eventful 2015!
Graham Care Awards Winner
Congratulations to activities coordinator Glenys Slark who was Rodwell Farm’s winner at the Graham Care Awards in November. We had a wonderful evening celebrating staff members who deliver truly inspirational care on a daily basis. Thank you to everyone who sent in nominations. Surrey Care Awards Success
Also in November, Rodwell Farm and Kettlewell House proudly picked up a winner’s trophy at the Surrey Care Awards. We were delighted to be recognised for our innovative use of technology in helping residents stay in touch with their family and friends. Our Residata service which allows relatives to view care plans and daily reports online got an honourable mention too!
Redevelopment update
Building work on our new home is continuing at a tremendous pace and the foundations are now in place. You can see fascinating time lapse videos of the progress of the development on our website. We are all looking forward to completion and the launch of our new home for 79 residents at the end of November 2015.
News in Brief
- The roll call of recent Employees of the Month includes our cook Gail Duffell for her sterling work catering over the Christmans period and Angie Perks, our laundry manager, for her committment to the job. Well done ladies!
- We will be taking part in this year’s national Care Home Open Day on Friday 19 June. Details on activities for the day will soon be posted on our website.
