Welcome to the Rodwell Farm newsletter keeping you fully up to date with news and event.
New Manager
I am delighted to have joined Rodwell Farm as the new Manager and am looking forward to working with such an established team.
I am a Registered Nurse and have worked in the care sector for over 20 years. Throughout my career I have worked within the corporate sector and the NHS. As Director of Nursing in a corporate hospital I have been involved in the project phase and operational setting up of a nursing directorate. In my previous role as Consultant I was responsible for the setting up and continuous professional development of a nursing school.
As a Manager I am very hands on and encourage an open door policy for residents, relatives and staff. It is important to maintain our quality of care and improve upon it, whilst maintaining dignity and empathy for a vulnerable client group.
I am passionate about training and development and empowering staff in all areas of the home. This can be through internal and external training, sharing best practice and improving communication to create an excellent work ethic. As such, I am open to new ideas and initiatives that encourage the team to work towards this goal.
With any new role team work and support are essential for success and I would like to thank all of the staff for their support and making me feel so welcome.
I am looking forward to meeting more relatives and friends over the nest few weeks, so please feel to come and see me.
Group Quality Consultant
After 15 years as Manager at Rodwell Farm, Karen Raggett has moved on to fulfil the role of Quality Consultant for the Graham Care Group. Whilst Karen is very sad to leave her family and friends at Rodwell, she has assured us that she will be visiting frequently to support myself and the team.
Due to the changes in statutory requirements and the Care Quality Commission we are committed to providing excellent outcomes for all our residents and Karen’s role is key to fulfilling this objective.
Karen will be working closely with the Home Managers to maintain current ISO and Investors in People registrations and supporting them to obtain these quality systems whilst conducting monthly audits on the individual homes.
“Having worked at Rodwell Farm for many years I am looking forward to the challenges my new role will bring.”
